Andy Boryczka is a native of Harvard, IL and currently lives with his fiancé Karen in Middleton, WI. He became friends with David Browne while attending Beloit College. When he isn’t out coordinating volunteers for HospiceCare, Andy enjoys bicycling (duh!), cooking, weight lifting, frisbee golfing, comic book collecting and spending time with Karen and Andy’s cat Diva.
Andy's family has been directly touched by heart disease. His father, Harry Boryczka, has had several serious heart surgeries. He is riding for David, Harry and every family that has been touched by heart disease.
In 2003 Andy helped create the first David Browne event - The 2003 David Browne Ride Through America. In 2006 Team242, LLC was created to sustain this growing tradition. Today Andy continues to plan and ride in this annual event with the most fun and inspirational cyclists in the world. Tomorrow Andy plans to race across America, build a fixed wing air plane and finally learn calculus.
